Its always a pleasure to receive a shot list and treatment that requests vibrant colours, large selection of props and a multi-cam, multi-day shoot. Especially when the guested talent is as positive and polite as Chloe Vietch.

 

Once the producer highlighted this was her debut presenting project, I prepared myself to assist her comfort levels once filming started. This is something I would do with other clients who aren't experienced in performing on camera, through various situational methods to relax the room. However we all quickly realised that Chloe was just as confident once camera's were rolling and actually performed beyond expectation, as she had to improvise on multiple occasions to lift the energy of some of the contestants who were not offering much in their interview.

 

Her charisma throughout the day actually lifted the energy of all crew members, resulting in a relaxed environment for our team to operate and create freely. On our end, Kerem Isik, Vik Ganga, Juan and Arjun Pala all performed flawlessly without breaking schedule and delivering beyond what Netflix asked of us.

 

Vik and Juan alternated in operating the slider cam to prevent fatigue as each day had a large script, and was on the back of the set build and rig. Arjun maintained concentration in his live cutting of both in studio shots and with virtual guests on a Zoom feed, with Kerem following the run order and correctly patching the correct audio feed in real time.

An overall challenge that was made to be a creatively fun and successful few days, thanks to the all involved on the production. We look forward to Netflix returning with a new challenge for me and the team.
